The Center and faculty in the Ecology and Evolution group involves an energetic and experienced group of faculty and
investigators that are pushing the envelope of modern evolutionary genetics and ecology. The empirical and theoretical
interests of CCG PIs include genomics, bioinformatics, population genetics, molecular, chromosome evolution, speciation,
coevolution, conservation biology and other areas.
Principal investigators in the Center include Professors Debashish Bhattacharya,
Jan Fassler,
Steven Hendrix,
Bob Malone,
Ming-Che Shih and
David Soll,
Associate Professor John Logsdon
and Assistant Professors Josep Comeron,
Lilach Hadany,
Bryant McAllister and
Maurine Neiman.
Members of the Center and faculty in Ecology and Evolution are deeply involved in developing a core of courses that
will prepare students on the most dynamic and active areas in the field including each faculty own research interests,
granting first-hand and up-to-date knowledge and allowing students to be highly prepared and competitive in their
scientific careers. Courses already accepted include Evolution, Population Genetics and Molecular Evolution, Systematics,
Genome Evolution, etc.
